The race started in 1939 and it is a symbolic race that brings together the best of Switzerlands sailing tradition.Every year they welcome mono-hulls and multihulls on Lake Geneva, starting in the city of Geneva. More than 500 boats fight each other on this 123 kilometre (66.5 nautical miles) course from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back.
